Very few adolescent boys and girls have an onset of special abilities. Yuu Otosaka uses his ability unbeknownst to others in order to lead a satisfying school life. And then, a girl named Nao Tomori suddenly appears before him. Their encounter reveals the destiny for wielders of special abilities.

Sakura Kousuke is a boy who strives to throw away a past mired in regret. He transfers to a new school for his second year of high school, believing it will give him a chance to come clean. Unbeknownst to him, however, the appearance of five other "Sakura"s in his class will bring the past to his present, forcing him to come to terms with himself, his old friends, and a girl who, though being Kousuke's complete opposite in terms of personality, also knows him better than anyone else.

The main character is Fan Ganma Bizen. He is the captain of the legendary black vessel. Fan Ganma Bizen is lazy and clumsy -- that is him when is resting. But once Fan decides to work, he is the best man available. Fan says things that normal people can hardly understand. And he doesn't say much, he only gives lots of clues. Everything starts when Captain Fan let Mia and Tuban Sanoo be aboard. Mia is a princess of a fallen country and Tuban is the best, people say, swordsman as well as strategist. Although Fan Ganma Bizen is the main character, it seems Fan, Mia and Tuban are the main characters as Mia and Tuban appear in all episodes. Mia is looking for science to restore her county, Ontana. Tuban is protecting Mia as the will of someone Tuban trusted. Fan Ganma Bizen agreed to take Mia to where she could locate the science in exchange of her virginity. (Don't get Fan wrong here, I believe he meant something else but at this moment, Mia's virginity is all I can guess.)

Highschool of the Dead is set in present day Japan, starting as the planet is hit with a fatal pandemic that turns people into zombies, euphemistically referred to from the primary characters as "Them" (?? Yatsura?). The storyline follows a number of highschool students (as well as the college nurse) as they cope using a world-wide catastrophic event called the "Outbreak". They also have to confront the further risks of social fall, in the kind of dangerous survivors, and the potential decay of their particular moral codes as the cast attempts to survive the zombie apocalypse. Beginning in the HS, the pupils getaway into town at the place where they have to cope with his pupils and a tainted teacher. They get a dog as well as a small girl, and assess for survivors in their houses. Afterwards, they finally make their way to an elementary-school which is allegedly a secure zone, go through a police station, and last in a shopping center.

The main character is Kabu, a little peddler and heavy addicted. Used to any kind of hallucinogenic trip, he is able to feel the happiness through the ecstasy of the drug, while on the same time hypocritically hating who gave born to that society which has forced him to the excess. After an overdose caused by mixing two incompatible drugs, he spends his days looking for stimulants until the encounter with an enigmatic man who offers him a new kind of illegal substance:Ultraheaven From that moment his incredible journey begins, where dream and reality are fused in an undivided world, causing him hysterical or joyful reactions and unrestrained pains. But what really is Ultraheaven and who's really behind it? And who is the guru who is promoting the meditation as a powerful way to influence the whole universe surrounding us exploiting the quantum theory? With the help of a special amplifier helmet Kabu starts a trip into the deep and hidden layers of his conscience, diving into a nightmare he would never discover...
